Trade union strikes will severely affect flights and public transport in Belgium, with additional disruption to road networks likely.
Three Belgian trade unions have called for a general strike over wage disputes on Wednesday, February 13. These strikes will affect the majority of flights as well as public transport in Belgium. With some airlines cancelling as much as 68 per cent of flights in the area, directly impacting air shipments through Belgium. In addition, road and sea transport will also suffer disruptions as ports and roads are operating at limited capacity.
